Appendix: Elyran Ages and Time #
Age Abbreviations The various eras in Elyran history are referred to as “Ages”. The Ages of Elyra each have distinct names, such as the “Primordial Age”, the “Rise of Life”, etc. These names give rise to the abbreviations that mark the various era timelines. Canonically, The Arcanum Order has defined four main ages.

Additionally, The Arcanum Order defines brief periods of quiet between ages as interludes. For any instance in which a time or date of an interlude needs to be noted, the timeline abbreviation I is used, followed by the abbreviation of the age immediately preceding it.
For example the year 257 of an interlude after the end of the Primordial Age would be expressed as 257IPA.
Year Count #
Years in Elyra are counted from 0, with the year 0 being the first year of the age in which the year occured.
- For example, the first year of the Rise of Life is 0RL.
- The first year of The Darkening is 0DA.
- The fifth year of the interlude immediately after the Primordial Age is 5IPA.
