The Five Pillars #

The Five Pillars cosmology is the cosmological principle that Elyra was founded upon five pillars of existence. Each pillar represents one of the foundational forces of the world which uphold the planes and keep them separate from each other.

The five pillars are:

• The Day
• The Night
• Mortality
• Magic
• Time

Followers of the Five Pillars cosmology believe that the balance of forces that preserve Elyra’s continued existence rest upon these pillars. They believe that manifesting these forces - through their studies, actions, and teachings - fortifies these pillars and ensures the safety of Elyra. Radical extremist believers of the Five Pillars cosmology believe that there are physical pillars holding Elyra aloft and preventing it’s collapse into the hells of The Wastes.
